Mothers are busy ladies in a busy world. It is time for us, moms, to take time for ourselves. “Me” time is an important lifestyle choice that will make you a happier, more contented person. For some that might mean reading a book (that’s me), going for a walk, or just doing something you enjoy.
Before sitting down to put your feet up — make a quick batch of these treats to enjoy with your cup of tea and a book.

Maca Coconut Snack Balls
- 1 cup pitted Medjool dates, heaping cup
- 1 cup coconut flakes
- 2-3 tbsp coconut oil melted
- 1/4 cup maca powder scant
- pinch of sea salt
Process dates and coconut in a food processor, until they start to clump together.
Add the maca powder and salt.
Turn the food processor on and drizzle in the coconut oil until well combined.
Remove the mixture from the food processor and roll into bite-size balls.
Optional: For your chocolate fix, roll balls in raw cacao powder.
These treats store well in the fridge for at least a week, if not longer.
Alternatively, they can be frozen (if they last that long).
