Take Action

Now that you have decided on your big vision and what you want to achieve, you have to make it happen!  I know, the action plan is the hardest part for many of us.  For some, making the plan is the easy part. Others need the plan made for them.

Lasting change does not come from sporadic, half-hearted actions. Change comes from making a commitment that delivers consistent action.  Yes, I said commitment — this is a commitment to yourself to do what you plan and to achieving your BIG vision.

You cannot become the next, new and improved version of YOU, if you make a decision from where you are today (it’s those decisions that keep you stuck!). Make a decision from where you want to be – ask yourself, “what would that new YOU do?”

Decide to commit to taking consistent action to achieve the results that you desire.

Ask yourself, “what action steps do I need to make based on that decision?”

Let’s say you want to lose 10 pounds, and feel confident. Your decision then leads to taking the action steps of not eating processed foods and adding more whole foods into your diet. Some of the actions that can support this decision can include working with a nutritionist to help you make those changes, doing a pantry purge to throw out unhealthy food items, or making grocery shopping with a grocery list a weekly routine.

It is time for you to take action.  Write down your decision and then list 3 specific actions that you commit to taking to help you achieve your goals. These actions should be ones you are willing to consistently do.  Then when are you going to take those actions? Make them a priority and schedule them on your calendar!
